Quantitative Coronary Angiography (QCA)

QCA measurements provide standard data like Minimum Luminal Diameter (MLD), Diameter Stenosis and Reference Diameter (interpolated or user defined).

It is also possible to collect the following data:

Total Occlusions
Length stenotic segment
Position of proximal border
Position of distal border
MLA densitometry
MLA circular
Area stenosis densitometry
Area stenosis circular
Reference area
Volume stenotic segment
Plaque area
Plaque volume
Symmetry
Subsegmental Data

We can offer the same measurements for:

For Intravascular Brachytherapy (IVBT), the technique that uses radiation therapy after balloon angioplasty, stent implantation or in-stent restenosis we can provide data as mentioned above, data for the whole irradiated vessel, including data of a proximal part to the dilated vessel and data of a distal part to the dilated vessel.

Visual Assessment

Our Core Lab is experienced in the collection of qualitative data on:

Pre- and post procedural morphology:
Eccentricity, lesion length, collaterals presence
and strength, thrombus, involvement of side-branches,
calcification, tortuosity, location, irregularity, dissection
presence and type, distal embolisation.

Coronary artery flow:
Thrombolysis In Myocardial Infarction (TIMI)
corrected TIMI Frame Count (cTFC)

Assessment of myocardial perfusion:
Myocardial Blush Grade (MBG)

Function of the left ventricle:
Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (LVEF)
